AOL TimeWarner and Rupert Murdoch are said by the Financial Times to be nearing a deal which would bring their cable programming to China in return for Chinese govt. TV getting on our cable systems here

I can hardly wait. I don't suppose they'll say 'Mao Mao Mao Tse-tung Revolution by the young' instead of commercials but I'm old anyway

New actually if you have direct tv you can watch it now
or at least the news prodcasts. go to the ITN right around the weather channel. This network broadcasts local news broadcasts from around the world with translations. China news usually involves leaders looking at positive happenings like museum openings etc around the country. It also talks about current international affairs. very interesting stuff.
