New Any Exchange-debased individuals over there?
I'm looking for a way to do the following in Exchange 2000:

When mailbox size exceeds maxvalue, delete all e-mails older than 90 days.

I don't care if it's a 3rd party util, or if it has to be scripted or what, just point me in the right direction.

Or a website where the users actually have to use this piece of dogshit.

Or get me a job using Linux.
Any deity worthy of a graven image can cobble up a working universe complete with fake fossils in under a week - hey, if you're not omnipotent, there's no real point in being a god. But to start with a big ball of elementary particles and end up with the duckbill platypus without constant twiddling requires a degree of subtlety and the ability to Think Things Through: exactly the qualities I'm looking for when I'm shopping for a Supreme Being.

You think that you can trust the government to look after your rights? ask an Indian
New dunno but watch out
First, I don't think I could just "arbitrarily" (users' term) delete emails in that manner with *my* user base. Yours may differ, but *shudder*. I find sending them an email every day it's too big gets results. :) Obviously this only works if you're not *really* running out of resources just yet.

Second, be aware that E2K may be set to retain emails for X days even after deletion, so you may not reclaim the space immediately anyway.

New An alternative
The "delete older than" trick was used at one of my old companies. We were constantly getting calls to "restore that vital email!". What is in use at my current job is a max mailbox size. They hit the wall, no more send/receive till they free up space. If it is space concerns that are triggering this request, you may want to consider some healthy, yet finite size limitation. We give them 35 Meg. Special cases get upped to a 100 Meg on manager's request.
...rare is the dollar of corporate profits that bears a tax burden heavier than the burden on an employee's wages.
