I'm about to implement a relatively small system (3MM records, 5 tables) and my local internal end-users will be doing their data exploration via Windows desktop tools.

It could also be written in Visual BASIC or Visual C++ or any other language that handles ODBC or ADO connections. Hmmm, I am tempted to write one myself if I ever figure out how?
