Welcome to IWETHEY!

New That all depends on the...
Windows Manager settings... now if that be Aqua... well... Beyond what I am talking about.

But as far as Apps opening up they should be managed by the Window Manager...

What you said, sounds like X doesn't *HAVE* a window Manager...

You might want to try one... ;)

New sounds like the WM is integrated
You use the Aqua window controls to close, minimise, and zoom X11 windows.

New Ahhh... but then again grasshopper...
From the [link|http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/|page]
Experts may choose to replace the native Aqua window manager with their own familiar, standard X Window Manager.

So, maybe with this hint... you MAY not want Aqua to be the Window manager... as with ALL Apple statement, you have to read between the lines to see what they really mean! (sometimes) Or in other words... a Window Manager *BESIDES* Aqua... but of course we all know Aqua still has to be running...

But still this is definately a good thing thing for Apple to do period. I think for once they are finally listening to thier users and *DOING* what needs o be done to appease/soothe/patronize them...

Maybe... just MAYBE... I will be able to FINALLY buy a Laptop I like... that runs *WHAT* I like to run... *AND* what I need to have for functionality... with resorting to an Alternate OS to do things.
