[link|http://www.jta.org/page_view_story.asp?strwebhead=Mormons+baptizing+dead+Jews&intcategoryid=5|http://www.jta.org/p...s&intcategoryid=5] ewish and Mormon officials met this week to discuss allegations that church members are still posthumously baptizing many deceased Jews, including thousands of Holocaust victims. Seven years after the church signed an agreement to do all it could to stop the practice, new evidence has emerged that the churchs vast International Genealogical Index lists as many as 20,000 Holocaust victims and perhaps many more all evidently baptized by proxy after their deaths. now ignoring the political and social ramifications of trolling for worm food on the behalf of your religion, shall I leave an instruction in my will to send my name to these folks in expectation of a pass? If someone was burned at the stake by christians for heresy and these guys mumble over them its a done deal? Is there any other group that does the same? thanx, bill

But where will they find the lawyers?
Expressing outrage in recent days at the persistence of a practice that they liken to the forced conversion of souls in the afterlife, some have hinted at the possibility of a class action lawsuit for damages. Hmmmmm, what venue will be chosen? Which courts have jurisdiction? Will this be a jury trial?

Too much Judge Larry Joe
I don't see how a lawsuit could succeed.
Not because there isn't a wrong, but because of the lack of monetary damage and the plaintif being dead.

I would think one would have to accept the Mormon belief
as true before one would bother to complain about the Mormon's idiocy. Is someone dead somehow harmed because some turkey mentions their name? Could God be that stupid? And, by implication, who thinks that? Sheesh! Incidentally with Moz (WinMe and RH8.0) the link gives: error '80020009'
Exception occurred.

It seems a perfect indicator of the atavistic times and slogans,
Ignorance is Truth Warz for Liberty; Peace as Subversion Liberty traded for Security by Shoppers (a Good Deal) Dyslexic Leader singing Onward Christian Soldiers in harmony with Pope-Attorney-General
Yup.. it all seems to fit.
