Bill,
Cannot even get to a place where I can 'boot -s'. I have a bit of work to do early
today, but hope to try working on it again towards evening. It is an Ultra 10 and
I booted it previously (Solaris 7) and then did 'boot cdrom' to fire off the Solaris 8
upgrade.
I've noted some references to firmware upgrades that are needed for older Sparc
boxes. Maybe that is part of the problem?? Not sure. I did try unplugging the
network cable just to see what would happen on boot. The system recognizes
that the network cable is unplugged and it notes when I plugged the cable back
in. Let me try 'ping' and 'telnet' and see what else I can find out.
Thanks,
Maggie
