Microsoft doesn't show any code that . . .
. . "would compromise security". Presumably, exposing the back doors they've given the U.S. government (and themselves) would "compromise security" so that code won't be shown.
The Japanese government is particularly concerned about such back doors, because the U.S. government is known to engage in industrial espionage and to share information it finds with U.S. corporations.
Other governments are also very concerned on this point, because none can figure any other explanation for the DoJ suddenly letting Microsoft off the antitrust hook right after Septemeber 11th except in exchange for better covert access through Microsoft products.
