As I said at the bottom of [link|/forums/render/content/show?contentid=64176|this] with speeling errors...
And on the Policy vs. Non-policay thing. I like Debians way of doing better than RedHat's.
The Policy behind Debian's logistics is quite commendable... very nice, very forward thinking. I *DO* wish other distributions of Linux had this much QA and Checking and organization behind them. RedHat sometimes being the worst, as we can see by the *MULTIPLE* erratas to fix the same issue, over and over again. Or Erratas to fix the fix cause it UNFIXED a previous issue or made something completely BROKEN.. IE -> Kernel 2.4.18-17.7.x for the 7.x version of RedHat. They fergot to make "OS release" dependancies and it would fail to install on 7.1 and 7.2. Hence Kernel 2.4.18-18.7.x was release Nov 5, 2002. It would be nice if they had a few "stock" machines of those variety to *TEST* them on...
And That my dear sir... is my offer... take it or leave it.
