New I recall a similar stink about "Architect".
Seems that is a professional title implying a license. I seem to recall some minor hell raised when Gates moved Balmer to CEO and became "Chief Architect" or somesuch himself.

New I'm in trouble
It seemed the random geeks at my office were
making trouble about perks I was getting, and
expected equal perks.

So they changed my title from "Senior Developer"
to "Systems Architect". Totally meaningless
from my perspective, since I do the same
thing I always did, but useful when giving
me something that others don't get.

New so how is your drafting skills and do you know
how to define a "load bearing wall" do you prefer 24 or 16 inch studs and what is the load bearing capacity of 2x4, 2x6 and metal studs. Otherwise architect the system out of them.

Have friend who is architect (building variety) - searching for work on job boards yields endless software gigs but few building design ops.
I am out of the country for the duration of the Bush administration.
