New test C
(* For an example, go to http://consultron.ca/english and look at the nav menu on the left. Also, look at the sitemap page... that's generated by a program too. The nice thing about this is that I can add content to my site, and so long as I follow a few conventions in my pages *)

I don't see why this needs OO. I have done similar things before using table-oriented approaches. A rough example table layout can be seen at geocities.com/tablizer/cntrl1.htm#website

(Sorry for the funky formatting. Zope choked on my formatted version for some reason.)

New Be nice.
He's trying to figure out how to reproduce it for you.

Wade.

"Ah. One of the difficult questions."

New test D
Yes, but the a{i} syntax is still there. Remember, we are trying to prevent code alteration if we upgrade our collection engine(s). All those a{i} references are still floating around.

{"add" in Smalltalk collections} This is not inconsistent. What would be inconsistent would be expecting an add method to do exactly the same action on a directory as it would to on an array. They are not the same things, and trying to force add to work the same on both would actually break the concept of OO.

New Point of note:
It is possible to test posting strictly in preview mode. :-)

There is no difference between actually posting, and just seeing what the post will look like in preview.

New Yabut...
...making all those test posts is a GREAT way to bump up your "posts made" count.

And we don't know [link|/forums/render/user?username=admin|ANYONE] who makes lots of posts in the Test Forum, do we?

New Re: Yabut...
When I make posts in the test forum, it's because I'm actually testing the post saving mechanism... ;-)

New re: Point of note
It is possible to test posting strictly in preview mode. :-)

I kind of do it to document my variations. I can also be sure that it posts okay (without crashing), and not just preview. I suppose I could use my own machine to do some of that. I will cut down on the practice at your request.

There should be no difference between preview and the final result, however.
