The record industry is structured to prevent competition from outsiders.

There is a stranglehold on airplay, and distribution. Also was one on facilities but with modern digital recording this has mostly gone away.

Bottom line is you can cut it. You can press it. You can package it. But you can't get it heard, seen, or sold. Which is why I produce software rather than records.

The internet is breaking down these barriers it scares them alot. So they have to heap dirt on it, make the whole channel look illegit.
