New Live OS bootable MS Windows CDROM (possibly French)?

I'm trying to track down something I swear I didn't dream up, but now am not so sure.

\r\n\r\n

Knoppix, LNX-BBC, Tom's Root/Boot, etc., are all bootable Linux systems which run resident in memory and/or from a CDROM, without touching the hard disk.

\r\n\r\n

I think I remember hearing about a similar concept coming from a French company, possibly, that does much the same thing except under MS Windows. It's a product they offer, not sure of terms...but the Google footprint (ten minutes+ of searching) is absolutely nil.

\r\n\r\n

...unless someone can prove me wrong.

\r\n\r\n

TIA

New This c't article perhaps?
[link|http://www.heise.de/ct/english/99/11/206/|Booting Windows From CD-ROM] - it's for Win9x.

HTH. It seems to be what you need, but I haven't tried it myself.

Cheers,
Scott.
New No, though it's close
I was thinking of something which is packaged as a product, not merely a "how you do it" solution. Possible that it's been pulled and googlewiped, as there seems to be no freakin' trace of it. Pity.

New Are you sure you're thinking of a CDROM?
I think I remember people making Windows 95 boot from a Zip disk. Probably not a lot of help, though.

Wade.

"Ah. One of the difficult questions."

New Win 95/98 bootable CD.
I've seen this with GHOST and other imaging software. The boot disk is built under 95/98 and can then be burnt to CD. All you get is a DOS 7 boot and batch file to run the imaging process though.
