1) When I have ~ "Show only fora with new messages" selected, the "total number of posts" displayed on the Main page only counts those posts in the forimus with new messages. Shouldn't the total be the overall grand total for all foratus? Seeing the number change from 50,000 to 10,000 to 324 is rather disconcerting.

2) When I change my Preferences and Save them, there isn't a link to get back to the [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/board/show?boardid=1|IWeThey Main page] - I have to go through the [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums|IWeThey Forums] page and click a whole nother link. It's too hard!!!

Yep. Not sure how to fix it, either, since it requires carrying along a forumid or something.

On the User Preferences Saved page, simply change

http://z.iwethey.org/forums|zIWETHEY Home

to

http://z.iwethey.org/forums|zIWETHEY Home .|. http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/board/show?boardid=1|IWETHEY Board

like in the other forums would do what I think you think you're doing. That is, I'm not requesting a link to a particular forum, but to the main page.
