The FASTEST in the World, period!.

Taught Carlos Santana how to rocket-riff (compare old, early 70's vintage Santana to middle-late '70s "Devadip" Santana to hear the difference!).

Also, Tony McPhee, the guitarist for the Mighty Groundhogs, could pull of a few licks, IIRC...

New Oh, and by the way...
...John McGlaughlin did it the old-fashioned way: using a pick an only one hand on the fingerboard (non of the hammering-on Van Halen trickery). He actually played his guitars...
