PowerPoint viewers are available for both so basic content isn't a concern. His concern is that if he embeds a Flash animation, that the viewer will need to have some kind of Flash viewer software installed. According to some folks here at school, Flash doesn't do OLE so that may be correct.

What about a different animation standard, like animated GIFs or Quicktime, as opposed to Flash? (Flash, I think can export both types.)
