[link|http://www.nexusmagazine.com//ancatomicwar1.html|link] at the Junction of the US 10 and 20 in texaas I spent 3 days trying to hitch a ride out. That area looks like after the tribulation. Simular spots in Mexico, Chad, of course the dead sea as well as parts of the gobi. thanx, Bill

ooh does anyone care to explain this?
[link| http://www.nexusmagazine.com//ancatomicwar2.html|piss poor translations is not an answer] Consider these verses from the ancient Mahabharata:
...(it was) a single projectile Charged with all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and flame As bright as the thousand suns Rose in all its splendour...
..it was an unknown weapon, An iron thunderbolt, A gigantic messenger of death, Which reduced to ashes The entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas.
..The corpses were so burned As to be unrecognisable. The hair and nails fell out; Pottery broke without apparent cause, And the birds turned white.
After a few hours All foodstuffs were infected... ...to escape from this fire The soldiers threw themselves in streams To wash themselves and their equipment now back to Isiah for your regular programming "there is nothing new under the Sun" thanx, bill

Are You Passionate?
Are you passionate? Are you livin' like you talk? Are you dreamin' now that you're goin' to the top? Are you negative, In a world that never stops, Turnin' on you? Turnin' on me? Turnin' on you?
Are you loving it? Can you ever get enough of it? Is it everything? A love that never stops, Comin' to you? Comin' to me? Comin' to you?
Once I was a soldier, I was fighting in the sky, And the gunfire kept comin' back on me. So I dove into the darkness, And I let my missles fly. And they might be the ones, That kept you free.
Once I was a prisoner, I was riding in a truck, Cleaned up for public display. I looked at those around me, And when they looked at me, I let them see my soul that day.
Are you scared of it? Do you wish that it would stop? Does it bother you when you hear your spirit talk? Well I'm right with you, Yes I'm right with you. It's working on me, It's working on you. It's working on me.

"Guns, Germs and Steel" and Oklo reactor.
Diamond talks about a natural nuclear reactor in the valley of the [link|http://www.pu.org/main/facts/pu.html|Oklo] river in Africa.
But there's a big difference between this and man-made BC nuclear weapons...
Cheers, Scott.

similiar to Zacharia Sitchin's claims
I've read [link|http://www.sitchin.com/|Zacharia Sitchin's] series, The Earth Chronicles, and it contains references to atomic war in the past.

Recurrent theme..
as some folks look for physical evidence of the Atlantis myth. The thesis being, that Atlantis too suffered from the rapid advance of technology beyond human miniscule ability to govern selves without suicidal escalations.
The mindless techno won. Deja vu. (The Luddites were not without a certain philosophical rationale, you know.. ;-) We are on a loop. Jump indirect to immolation.

Colliding with small comet might do the trick.
On 1994 July 16-22, over twenty fragments of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 collided with the planet Jupiter. [link|http://www.seds.org/sl9/sl9impacts.html|Lots of pictures.] Lots of heat can be generated in more than one way.
