New The Technical Reason
When you hork up your menu.lst and reboot, and it don't work, you can edit the line RIGHT THERE and boot it.

Also, you don't need to remember to rerun it when you change kernels.

Great, thanks for the advice. I'll mess with GRUB tonight then, and see what kind of damage I can do.

Yeah, that's why I had tried doing the image-less boot version, because I had heard that way you don't have any issues anytime you change kernels.

But, eh, GRUB it is then!
