Strangely, no one can point to specifics about "black culture" that aren't tied to oppression or poverty.

For example, German culture.
There is a German language. Poor, rich, male, female, whatever, they speak it.
There are German foods. The poor eat them, the rich eat them. And so forth.
There are German celebrations (Fasching).
And so forth and so on.

The times I've seen this comment made, what they are actually refering to is someone not pursuing the political/social agenda that the person making the statement believes they should pursue.

A political agenda is not a culture.

A social agenda is not a culture.

The key phrases in that statement are:

"self-hating black man"

"despises black culture"

"worships at the altar of whiteness"

All aimed at eliciting a particular, EMOTIONAL, response.
