Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Weird behavior in Macintosh forum.
Clicking on Box's "OSX and road runner" post initiates a download of "show.exe" on Windows system?

Running Mozilla 1.0, if that matters.

Also, on Linux system with Mozilla 0.9.9.

And, holy shyte, it works fine in IE on the Windows box. :(

Nothing peculiar in the HTML itself, that I can see, and the following fails here as well:

[link|/forums/render/content/show?contentid=48716|OSX and road runner]

i.e.:

<a href="/forums/render/content/show?contentid=48716">OSX and road runner</a>

if you look at source.

New It happens here as well
IE works fine, but Mozilla 1.0 prompts to download show.exe, I downloaded it and will Virus Scan it.

Hmmm, no Virus detected. I tried to run it, and I got that it was not a valid WIN32 application. Could it be downloading the Unix show command that shows the posts by mistake?

New Nope. It is the page
Open the show.exe in Notepad. Must be some MIME Type funkiness either with Mozilla or with the server (or somewhere in between). Looks like something fun to investigate :)

New "This file has a mime type octet/stream..."
At least that's what my older version of Netscape 6 says.
