On Sunday he is neither, but is praying to his God that someone, preferably himself, will find the reconciliation between the two views. Scientific discovery consists in the interpretation for our own convenience of a system of existence which has been made with no eye to our convenience at all. The "coincidence" that I mentioned with the original post, had to do with we looking up Norbert Weiner after thinking about Yendors post about the death of Edsger W. Dijkstra. Mike never "crossed paths" with Dijkstra although both were on UT campus. Norbert Wiener was of course of an earlier generation. Few people know he coined the term cybernetics.
