I spent perhaps a little more money that I should have yesterday on a NetGear MA401 and a NetGear ME102. That's a PCMCIA WiFi card and Access Point respectively. The Access Point strangely had a USB port as well as the Ethernet port, but that is for configuring it. Perhaps a better way could be used for that, but it works well enough.

I had to download the v2 drivers et al because the supplied drivers and firmware only did 40bit WEP. I had them running originally WEP-less and when I got that going at 104bit (128bit), I didn't notice any decrease in speed. *shrug*

And I get a good 60% signal strength from one corner of the house to the other. :-) NetGear make good stuff!
