New Note to Self
Some things about the [link|http://twiki.iwethey.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome|TWiki]: I need to make sure there's a note in comments at the top of files that are meant to be included in other files. Otherwise there are problems with redundant TOC's and horked-up heading levels. That brings up a couple interesting wish-list items for TWiki:
  • Included files should intelligently suppress a TOC, or include theirs in the parent page TOC.
  • If a file is included with a heading level defined for the include, it should set the maximum heading level of the include to match the one defined on the include line.
Hmm ... This needs more thought. The problem is that currently you need to consider whether a page is intended to be included in another page and write it accordingly. There should be a better method of handling this, though I realize now it's not a simple as I first thought.

New 'Nother note, re: the new logo
Both Explorer and Netscape currently have problems displaying transparency in true-color PNGs. See [link|http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q265221&|here] for the MS tech note. You might want to try converting it to an indexed pallette and put that up so we can all see if it's any better.

BTW which browsers show this properly?

Mozilla, Galeon, dillo, Konqueror. Confirm that MSIE 6.0 borks on this. Convince me this is a bad thing ;-)

New Sometimes I like to look it over from work.
Considering where work is, and the limitations on software I'm allowed to put on the machine I'm using, this CAN be an issue. They're pretty lenient with our web browsing habits, but they're tight-arsed about what can go on the machines, so no Moz here.

Now, having transparency borked for a title image which ain't sittin' over anythin' ain't any big deal to me - but just be careful when it comes to actually puttin' stuff over other stuff...
There are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
