We've got 1/2 dozen boxen running Oracle.
Once a box is in production, it takes
multiple major crashes to force a version
upgrade. I think we've only done it once.
So whatever version is out when I go into
production, it will stay that forever.
Production will start in about 3 months,
so 9.2 is the end of the line for this
project.
I was about to bounce in to my office to
check the versions, since I think 8.1.7
is the norm, but they are all gone for
the night. The power company is fixing
a transformer, and we have 2 buildings
knocked out until 4 AM, including our
data center.
Have you actually used 9.x to test, or
are you believing the docs?
I really like the undo tablespace. No
more rollback segments.
