I had a minor accident with my old cell phone, I was about 50' up setting up a new network connection at work and my phone was knocked out of it's clip. I replaced it with the [link|http://www.samsungelectronics.com/mobile_phone/wireless_terminals/cdma_pcs/sph_i300_features.html|SPH-I300], a combination color-palm and cell phone. I had to switch from Cingular to Sprint as the SPH-I300 only works with Sprint.
The phone works well, though I'm still getting used to the "soft buttons". There's no tactical feedback so I can't dial "blind" like I did on my old phone. This isn't a problem for frequently called people though as you can set up 20 voice dialed numbers. Voice dialing is triggered via a hard button on the side of the phone. The other problem is the display can be hard to see in bright sunlight(especially if you wear polorized sun glasses). The phone display is customizable, there's 4 preset button designs and options to show the sprint logo, your phone number, or a customizable text message such as "Darrell's Phone". I don't know if you can add addition button designs, though late last night I discovered apps specificially for the SPH-I300. I'll be trying these this weekend:

While I'm picking up graffiti, I still prefer the Newton's MP2100 HWR. One of the things hanging me up is I keep getting 41 instead of 4 :-)
One of the coolest(to me anyway) thing's I've found so far is the [link|http://www.ateliersoftware.com/palm/scc.html|SimCity] port. Mega fun.
After trying out a few photo apps, I settled on [link|http://www.splashdata.com/splashphoto/index.htm|SplashPhoto]. Very easy to use, and a bargain at $10.
I'm not quite ready to stop using my Newton MP2100 though, I need to come up with way to transfer all my notes to the Palm. Anybody have an ideas? It's possible that since I have the [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=44707|wireless NIC for my Newton] that I could use the [link|http://homepage.mac.com/LightyearDesign/NPDS/|Newton web server package] and extract my information that way.
