New Commercial aviation in formation?
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/airbus-formation-flight/index.html

Seriously? ATP's flying in formation? What could go wrong? Of course, this article talks about the Eurotrash Airbus Plastic aircrap and those aren't really flown by pilots anyway. But I sure as hell hope nobody flying actual aircraft here gets the idea of having ATP's flying in formation. Not unless they're retired Air Force pilots.
bcnu,
Mikem

It's mourning in America again.
New Illiteracy, thy name is Moffitt.
Da Moff gets his panties in the usual bunch:
Seriously? ATP's flying in formation? What could go wrong?

Apparently not much, as one would have gatherred from reading TFA:
Those formations have also provided the inspiration for researchers at Airbus UpNext, the aircraft manufacturer's future-flight demonstration and technology incubator.
[ .  .  . ]
"It's very, very different from what the military would call formation flight. It's really nothing to do with close formation," explained Dr. Sandra Bour Schaeffer, CEO of Airbus UpNext, in an interview with CNN Travel.
[ .  .  . ]
"Pilots are trained to not fly into the vortex of a preceding aircraft," said Bour Schaeffer, an experienced flight-test engineer. "They will be 1 1/2 to 2 nautical miles away from the leading aircraft, and slightly offset, which means they are on the side of the vortex. It's no longer the vortex, it's the smooth current of rotating air which is next to the vortex, and we use the updraft of this air."

So, yeah...

More Moff:
Of course, this article talks about the Eurotrash

POAD, Yank asshole.

And even more:
Airbus Plastic aircrap and those aren't really flown by pilots anyway.

Yadda, yadda, yadda... Wanna link to all those posts of yours lambasting The Composite Wonder, AKA Boeing "Dreamliner", as "Plastic aircrap"?

One can't help but suspect that if it were the Yanks doing the autopilot pioneering (well, besides Tesla's version of "autopilot pioneering"...) you'd be waxing all enthusiastic about how wonderful it is.

His final flourish, to really confirm is inability to understand written text:
But I sure as hell hope nobody flying actual aircraft here gets the idea of having ATP's flying in formation. Not unless they're retired Air Force pilots.

No problem. It's only stupid illiterate Yanks getting that idea, at least from this article.

New It's the aviation equivalent of "M$", "Crapple", or "Loonix".
Serves no reason other than to identify the writer as someone whose opinions are not informed by facts, and thus can be freely discarded.
