It's supposed to be be visible after sunset to those of us in the Northern hemisphere.

I haven't seen it yet, but it should be way better than Haley's comet in 1986 that I was looking forward to see. You needed binoculars to see much. Haley's, showing up every 75/76 years, has a long history. Mark Twain famously said:

I came in with Halley's comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go out with it. It will be the greatest disappointment of my life if I don't go out with Halley's comet. The Almighty has said, no doubt: 'Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.
