Robert Reich served as Secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration, and is now a professor of public policy at the University of California at Berkeley. Contrary to what many politicians are saying, Reich believes that the global pandemic is a public health emergency – but not necessarily an economic crisis. And he believes that in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we must halt the economy, and assist the poor.
