Laser-printed signs adorn the neighborhood: “Cancel all Student Loan Debt! Bernie 2020”; “Cancel all Medical Debt! Bernie 2020”; “Free College for All! Bernie 2020.” Shucks, kid, if you’d only thought to throw in a pony you might have sealed the deal, but I voted instead for Senator Professor Warren.
Local color: As the spousette and I left the polling place and strolled toward the car (she was heading for a haircut, and offered to drop me off on the way) we heard a muffled crash as an elderly Chinese man tumbled off his walker to the sidewalk across the lane, bloodying his nose, brow and hand considerably. He did not understand English or, apparently, the dialect of Chinese essayed by another passer-by. We held him upright for twenty minutes, as a considerable volume of krovvy leaked out of his gulliver, until the paramedics arrived.
