My favorite place to go camping is still Balsam Mtn campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Elevation 5300 feet, a big deal on the East coast. Great views at sunset half a mile away. Nice hiking trails. Last year I walked just under 16 miles one day. This year not quite as much.
No RV hookups, but there are a couple bathrooms with running water. Really poor cell phone service.
It's hard to beat as place to disconnect from the every day.
