Others can imagine a malignant Xi-et-al: rampaging through all the local small-States-enviro: thence China Über Alles in die Welt (their Army already Goose-steps like that Führer). Add-in N. Korea's other goose-stepping megalomaniac, then Brazil killing-off the Amazon-- if they need ALL the reasons. Throw-in Climate and just-maybe the World Will 'grow-a-set' and decide that Germany 1930+, then Drumpf 2017+ will effectively-Kill any hopes of world-wide efforts to Face Climate and survive. Doing nothing does ..well-you-know. While IT IS a mad-Mad-MAD worldscape today: IS IT also? a cowering unTeachable planet just-like-the-U.S. thus far. There are signs Beijing doesn't want to "invade" Hong Kong, but it's mostly of the "they haven't yet" answer. Trouble is, the longer Beijing maintains a hardline behind Carrie Lam, the greater face they have to lose if they do eventually start giving in. That's a very frightening game of chicken! Wade.
