New Re: Function Point Counter :-)
What? Can you explain this please?
New Its an old metric
from the procedural days. A complicated formula that takes into account number of arguments to each function and the number of different functions.

Nobody uses this metric anymore though - at least I didn't think so.

I sure wouldn't want to work there.
New The place at I used to work used it.
Or at least, tried to. I think there was approximately one fan of Function Point Counting, the general reaction amongst the rest of us was 'You've got to be effing joking?' Still, it was good for a laugh, so long as you didn't actually have to do it. The bit I loved most was the rule that it took as many function points to remove functionality as it did to add it.

So you could effectively do a years work with some well placed deletes :)
On and on and on and on,
and on and on and on goes John.
