Welcome to IWETHEY!

New The form factor is definitely a thing.
My son has a 5SE and much prefers it to the 6S that my wife and I have.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.
New Re: The form factor is definitely a thing.
Yeah, I greatly preferred the heft of the old phone, but what can you do? I’ll be really torqued if Apple comes out with a refreshed model.

cordlessly,
New Not happening
The XR is the new small iPhone.

Not even full HD on a phone costing the thick end of a grand. That's classic Apple, is that :D

I liked my 6S+ - despite the forehead and chin looking a bit daft in retrospect, it's a form factor that does work, although having seen an Apple LCD side-by-side with a Samsung AMOLED, it's clear that the latter is visibly significantly superior in all aspects. Being able to withdraw the phone from the pocket with my thumb on the touchID sensor, ready for presentation at the Tube gateline, is much more convenient than FaceID. Other retail scenarios are available, but few have the pressing need for speed of the Kings Cross gateline at 9AM on a Monday.

(Also, there's a whole other thread I need to write about facial recognition; long story short, it's dangerous as shit and completely unregulated; I've turned it off on my Note)
New face recognition
I specifically did not want that, which was the other factor, aside from cost, governing my selection of the Model 8.

cordially,
New I wonder if sphincter recongnition would be more secure?
although unlocking your screen while driving might be problematic.
