Anyone know if the POST beeps a motherboard makes mean the
CPU must be working OK (possibly w/o memory). I get beeps w/o memory (unending long beeps) and silence with memory but nothing ever displayed on a monitor. Famous last words -- all I did was change the CPU fan.
It's an Asus mobo.

So apparently the CPU needs to be there and working to get a beep.
Unfortunately, now that it's been in and out a few times no beeps with CPU in. Oh well, may need a new CPU now.
