I just ordered a bunch of parts from Provantage for a work desktop.
Roughly $2000 for a Ryzen 2700X, lots of RAM, lots of SSD, $260 graphics card, ASUS motherboard, big case, etc.
As usual, decide how much you want to spend.
Maybe a Dell refurb?

Depending on your patience, it might be good enough? I don't think I'd want anything slower than an i5, myself.
