Indeed it is/was a naked Utilitarian -vs- curvy-lines decision, and it is/was just-right a compromise for its target audience: those who knew what automotive cuth they wish they could afford ... then discovered that Messrs. Citroën had their back
(but you don't have to pay the Beauty-fee/overhead!)

In brief, that Ami would have run mondo miles rilly cheap, quite comfortable in both seating and suspension ... just not very Fast.
(And had a funny big-round knob on the shift-lever, which you must both twist and push/pull.) I'd spring for one just now ... except clean ones are showing its Worth via the price commanded today (not just for the novelty I wot, but ya can't be sure.)
