New One for Sven -- VT cellphone coverage maps.
A Vermont state employee drove 6,000 miles in six weeks to prove that the cellular coverage maps from the US government suck – and was wildly successful.
The Register Link: Man drives 6,000 miles to prove Uncle Sam's cellphone coverage maps are wrong.

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

-- Isaac Asimov
New bottom line: the cell phone companies lie about their coverage
and Trump's FCC goes along with them like the sheep that they are.

Satan (impatiently) to Newcomer: The trouble with you Chicago people is, that you think you are the best people down here; whereas you are merely the most numerous.

New trump been president since cell phones were invented?
"Science is the belief in the ignorance of the experts" – Richard Feynman

Don't forget Michael O'Rielly.

New Saw that. Thank you,
So that was the taildragger doing 40 on US-7! ;-)

Glad to see someone finally put the lie to the operators. The situation has actually been devolving since ~2011. 600 lb gorilla Verizon used the passage of TS Irene to break interop contracts with the smaller operators. The ensuing dead zones eroded the minor's customer base to the point it wasn't worth it anymore. e.g. Sprint's response was to simply shut down transmitters instead up upgrading to 4G.

Seriously, for someone who shows some signs of intelligence, the consistency with which you misunderstand anything inconvenient to you is quite amazing.
