I’ve read them all, beginning with the three collected as Berlin Noir. Kerr died earlier this year, far too young, with another novel in the pipeline due out early in the coming year. I recommend the entire series. Not Great Lit, but extraordinarily well-crafted, for all that Bernie escapes now and then rather implausibly from the nazi bad guys. cordially, |
