Both sides do it, a clear rebuttal to boxley’s wishful thinking (look up “concern troll” in the dictionary. Bret Stephens’ photo appears alongside the entry. Shorter Stephens: “Oh, I only want the best for those poor Democrats, and I certainly hope that they will take the lesson of my dire scenario and campaign on/advocate sensible Republic-lite policies and not those horrid leftie ideas.”). I attended a talk by Molly Ivins back in 1992. During the Q&A session she was asked about the coming general election. She replied that after covering these things for many a cycle, she’d never lost a campaign press pool bet on the outcome of a presidential race. Her secret?
