So, the Israeli and Egyptian militaries, then?
I'm sure you know that Gaza doesn't control its own borders, its shoreline and fishing rights, its commercial airport was destroyed, etc., etc. Cheers, Scott. |

nope
https://www.yahoo.com/news/aid-dries-gaza-families-pushed-deeper-poverty-061944864.html Growing despair in Gaza has helped drive recent Hamas-led protests against the border blockade by Israel and Egypt. The closure was imposed after Hamas, branded a terrorist group by Israel and the West, seized Gaza in 2007, driving out forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.the rulers in Gaza Hassan, who wears the black robe and full face veil of ultra-conservative Muslim women, is angry at Hamas, which has fought three cross-border wars with Israel.snip The family suffered a new blow after Abbas ordered his West Bank autonomy government to curtail its regular support payments to Gaza, in hopes of pressing Hamas to hand over authority. Plenty of blame to go around, but ...
to ignore Israel's role in the continuing "world's largest open air prison" travesty misses about 70% of the problem. Israel destroyed the airport in 2000. Gaza has been blockaded since 2007. Under the 1993 Oslo Accords, Israel is obligated to let Gazans fish up to 20 miles from shore, not the present 6 mile limit Etc., etc. Of course the Palestinian government has rarely missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. But Israel controls their economy, the movement of the people, and too much of their daily lives. And Bibi has done little but make things much worse. My $0.02. Cheers, Scott. |

Re: Plenty of blame to go around, but ...
no problem, they share a large border with their fellow arabs, let egypt take the fence down. It used to be egypt anyway let them take care of their own. That doesnt resolve the Israeli problem with them but if the people there have a life and a possibility of getting a future a lot of the Israeli problem will disappear. Of course neither of us live there so we cannot do much except surmise. "Science is the belief in the ignorance of the experts" – Richard Feynman |
