New Reason 3,141,592 the Brits are better people than Americans.
Emphasis Mine.
LONDON (Reuters) - Rupert Murdoch has pulled his Fox News channel from the Sky platform in Britain, where the government is assessing a bid by the media mogul to buy the broader Sky pay-TV company for $15 billion.

In a statement, Murdoch’s Twenty-First Century Fox said it had decided it was no longer in its commercial interest to provide Fox News in Britain, where only a few thousand viewers watch it.

...
“Fox News is focused on the U.S. market and designed for a U.S. audience and, accordingly, it averages only a few thousand viewers across the day in the UK”, the company said.

“We have concluded that it is not in our commercial interest to continue providing Fox News in the UK.”

What must it be like to live in a country where there is no market for Fox News?

It's mourning in America again.
New Contract not renewed.
Retired Army Lt. Col Ralph Peters, a long time analyst for Fox News, told colleagues he is done with the network. He says it has become a "propaganda machine" for President Trump.

He said he chose not to renew his contract because he was "ashamed" of the network.

Los Angeles Times, 22 March 2018, Business pg 3C.
New I read that as well.
But, the point still stands: there is NO MARKET for Fox News in the UK and here, in the good ol' US of A, it is and has been Number 1 for 16 freaking years.

YMMV, but IMO that says a *TON* about the people.

New It says Fox News shows US news ... why would they watch that in England?

New Er.. maybe for reasons not unlike why we/many watch the Beeb's views-of-itall?
New People in the UK are interested in what goes on in the US...
...because even despite your current fuckwit-in-chief and direction of travel, America is the country with which we most share a common(ish) language and culture (soz, Canada and Australia, but frogs and convicts, ya know?). No country in the world is more enthralled (by choice) by the US than the UK.

It may well be that if we shared a language with Germany (or Czechia - they like beer even more than we do!) we'd have much more in common, but we don't, so we don't.

But Fox News is so shit that even the UK, with its unlimited appetite for all things American, can't be arsed to watch it.

Also, actual American news programmes look like British parodies of news programmes. Look up The Day Today on YouTube to see what I mean.

1994, man. Nineteen-ninety fucking four.
New Philip K. Dick in a short story, called them "News Clowns". Long ago that was.
Fortunately, with the likes of PKD, Philip Wylie (in my yout) the various wags with own dictionaries of how Muricans really were/are
... alway there were boffo Mockumentaries on our plight.

cf. "Momism" and Wylie, for just one.

Not that any of these altered the psyches of more than a hand-ful of our tribe. Natch.
The %Unteachables seems to remain ~ the Gravitational Constant of this hubristic bunch.
New ..er. that's "Tonnne" IIRC ;^>
But yeah.. it's been evident to moi, ever since my Grand Tour in my twenties that the Brits--despite also spawning such Lizards as Murdoch et al--have shown selves to be a Tribe well worth Fighting-for (with or without Churchillian lovely hyperbole) ... "in the streets, on the landing grounds ... ..."

Whereas , even before the recent proofs of our Moral Cowardice/compoundrd by rampant Ignorance underscored the status of our Tribe ... well can only speak for Self: I've been an Ex-Pat for longer than I can recall.. We have indubitably Earned our obloquy.. cf. Tailgunner Joe McCarthy and them Commyunists-under-every *{{quaking}} bedstead.. That shit works Every Time in the dis-US.

* Somehow (forget details) the Feds prevented Linus Pauling from making a trip to UK; he had (in sick-bed! via cut pieces of paper) unravelled the DNA helix; had he gone, Crick et al (who never credited the Real discoverer: an X-ray Pro woman who Had the Images which they merely interpreted: Pauling would have had/had Earned: all them Kudoes. We suck in myriad ways.
New Re: "despite also spawning such Lizards as Murdoch"
Not to blame.

For the record, Wiki:
Keith Rupert Murdoch, AC KCSG (born 11 March 1931) is an Australian-born American media mogul.

Now, I'll make Wade mad! :)

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

New Yeah, knew the sucker was from Oz, but same Tribal-offshoot :-)
New We're basically waiting for him to fall off his perch.
He renounced Australian citizenship some decades ago, although he is still widely accused of having our politicians in his pocket.

Wade.
New They have their own versions.
Remember, slightly over half of them voted for Brexit.

It's mourning in America again.
New Half of the voters, not half of the people
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=brexit+vote+results&oq=brexit+vote

33M voters (72% turnout)

Still, 17M people who either can't count, don't understand basic economics, are racists, or who are just idiots.

Worrying.
New Talk aboutcher ..Ass-Food-fer-Thought within these lunatics: Rorschach test via TLAs?
New That is funny
