New Question for Peter or anyone who has traveled Scotland.
My wife ran into a woman from Scotland. When my wife explained we'd be traveling the UK, the woman recommended we get "a train pass" and tour Scotland by train. I've briefly looked into Scottish train passes (including the "Hogwart's train") but I was wondering if Peter (or anyone else) had any recommendations for a specific sort of train pass to tour Scotland? We'll be visiting Moffat (of course) for a day or two and then have about four to five days free to tour Scotland.

Any pointers appreciated. TIA!
bcnu,
Mikem

It's mourning in America again.
New No idea, I'm afraid
I tend to get the train to Edinburgh and then it's buses/tram/taxi around the city.

If I go elsewhere in Scotland, I'll drive.
New The younger brother has been there a couple of times
I’ll ask him when he returns (he’s presently taking some quality time in Auld Blighty following a conference at Oxford).

cordially,
New Thanks!
