Man rescues bear cub near death / let no good deed go unpunished
It's an Aawwwww story, of course, something I'd deem even more essential in present zeitgeist.

While The Law did not Punish here,
(I quite remember the case where Brighthaven (then local, in Kenwood) had rescued a legless Raven)--who survived, thrived, loved being taken about the place each day, etc.--and then a crank reported in: resulting in Forest Service minions showing up
..as-if to a massacree, demanded that they should SAVE-Bruce-by-killing-him as, obviously he couldn't forage very well. Gail was forced to euthanize wonderful-Bruce or THEY would, elsewhere. Local papers grabbed one, etc. Martinets shall always be with us, just-like-a-Drumpf.
