Apparently there were two explosions.
Also, that's the first I heard it was a nailbomb. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-23/multiple-deaths-concert-explosion-manchester-arena-ariana-grande/8549432 Wade. |

Bomber identified (allegedly), arrests already made.
The Guardian is likely your most reliable source on this. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/may/22/manchester-arena-police-explosion-ariana-grande-concert-england |

Guardian, yes; seen elsewhere
I visit the Guardian frequently enough that I pay an annual subsidy to them even though they haven’t retreated behind a paywall. From a comment thread at the New York Times, which generally polices these things rather rigorously (the comments sections of most US newspaper sites could be charitably described as cesspools), comes this bizarre observation: Please provide some actual evidence physical, analyzable and evidence corroborated and reproducible to prove this supposed bombing, if such evidence is not provided or does not exist, then the obvious result is that nothing occurred, especially in such a supposedly catastrophic event there should be thousands of detailed pieces of physical evidence. Right now there is nothing but suspicious pictures that prove nothing and a cloudy narrative that proves nothing.I am inclined to think this is clumsy trolling, but after last year’s election, who is to say? cordially, |

That's the same sort of...
...bullshit, that ends up as a PRATT, that accompanied the plane that hit the Pentagon back in '01. |

Reads as if it is right out of Правда. Or its subsidiary, the White House.

Glad to hear you and yours were unscathed.
My good friend English Dave (with whom I'll be travelling this year or next to England), however, I haven't been able to contact yet. :0( Most of his family live in Manchester with a number of great nieces that would be roughly the proper age for that event. I hope to see him tonight. bcnu, Mikem It's mourning in America again. |

Statistically, they're almost certainly fine
I sincerely hope that that is the case. |

I just heard from him. All his are well, as well. Thanks.

indiscreet
From The Guardian just now (emphasis added): The man who murdered 22 people and injured 59 others has been named as Salman Ramadan Abedi, a Mancunian of Libyan descent. As I gaze into the crystal ball (no, not that one) I see a diminution in the level of, ah, granularity in the information being passed to this country by foreign intelligence sources in the coming months and years. If the short-fingered vulgarian actually was a conscious and willing agent of Russian influence deliberately sabotaging this country’s strategic position in the world, it’s difficult to imagine him doing more damage than he already has. Quite remarkable. cordially, |

Fucking idiots. Rolleyes.
We've spent 40+ years dealing with domestic terrorism, most of it from people much more capable, better-equipped, and better-organised than this current wave of murderous fuckwits. That's the Provisional IRA, for the avoidance of doubt. (The other republican groups and loyalist groups are/were notably not nearly as good at terrorism as the PIRA) If the UK police wanted his name out there, his name would have been out there. Now, everyone who knows him and who has something to hide will be destroying, as far as possible, any evidence of their connection to him. They might not have found out for a couple of days or even hours otherwise. And in these situations the clock is ticking. Cheers chaps. The help is appreciated, you fucking twats. |

Ah.. Peter! ... ... le mot juste. Again ;^>
