Better late than never
Obama commutes Manning's sentence; release in four months after serving a fifth—seven hard years—of a 35 year sentence. Regarding the original offense I am likely to be less censorious than Nother, but I think even he will agree that the conditions under which the prisoner has been held were unconscionably harsh.
