New Hydrocynus goliath
Unfortunately we don't get many African fish here (except Tilapia).

This fish is related to those irridescent little Tetra fish seen in aquariums.

The photo is a bit exaggerated by perspective. They only get to about 4-1/3 feet long and about 110 pounds, and the mouth is actually not real large. Fishbase rates them "Harmless to Humans" (they prefer to eat crocodiles). IUCN Red Listed LC (Least Concern).
New Uhh ...
Fishbase rates them "Harmless to Humans" (they prefer to eat crocodiles).
They apparently have a very specific definition of "harmless".

Major Allison Digby Tatham-Warter was so absurdly British that you can't even read his name without being compelled to brew a cup of tea.
