New Any Jira users here? Trying to modify column view.
In Jira the "Active sprints" view uses status for the columns. I've used other systems where I could use other fields for the columns.

Does anyone know if there's a way - maybe via plugin - to use other fields as column?

I'm specifically trying to use Points as my column, to make it easier to compare stories to past work and do the estimating.

New You probably want a report or something instead.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.
New Nope, used to do this in another tool
Filter for all stories in the previous release plus all in the backlog. Columns are story points. Previous sprint would all be in their columns, ranked backlog at the left.

We could look at the top card on the backlog and look across the previous sprint until we saw something similar size and drop the card there. Made estimating very easy.

New Doesn't look like it.
From the configuration for a board:

Column management

Columns can be added, removed, reordered and renamed. Columns are based upon global statuses and can be moved between columns.

New Yup, saw that
I was hoping there was a plugin that did it, even if we had to pay for it. The Wiki/Confluence stuff is great, but the Scrum is less useful than what I used before.

New "Columns can be moved between columns". OK, good to know.
New Never tried to do that.
We did something creative with swimlanes at one point for estimating (grouping by intended release) but it wasn't as useful as we though it would be and abandoned it after two sprints.

Wade.
New I tried a couple swimlane options
If I can't drag-and-drop to set points, it doesn't help.
