It's not too painful once one has done it once. I set up a spreadsheet like the federal forms, did the math there (for both of us) then copy/paste into the EFFF. I then use that as a template for next year. The most painful thing is typing in the W-2 stuff.

Next is the state form (which aren't due until May 1). That's painful because to get a $259 credit we have to break out our income separately. It's such a stupid system (because any spouse earning more than about $10k always qualifies)...
