New TWiki.iwethey.org: authentication works
Jason got back to me with the latest VHost configuration updates. We've got working authentication. I assume that this means a lot of you will need your passwords reset ;-). This requires me manually adding the hashed password string to the password file, so email them to me at kmself@ix.netcom.com. I'm going to try to arrange for local mail on the iwethey.org box so I can act on things like this other than mornings and evenings.

Check it out at [link|http:twiki.iwethey.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/|twiki.iwethey.org].

[Edit: fixed link, Doh!]

New Yay! (Oh, and you gave a busted link.)
Should be [link|http://twiki.iwethey.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome|this].

New Hmm, minor bug
When I first signed up I used DrewK instead of DrewKime as my WikiName. I just changed it to what I want and all the references were updated, but every page that was affected by that change says it was edited by DrewK. IOW it used the name I was changing from as the user making the change.

Small issue, but all the same ...

BTW is the InterWiki plugin still somewhat beta? I was trying to work with it and it's really hard to get what you want. OK, what I want. Eg: [[Wiki:Wiki][link text]] doesn't work. (Can't find what I was working on right now to give an example.)

New Authentication -- who are you?
The TWiki registration drives an .htpasswd file by userid. There are now entries for "DrewK" and "DrewKime". I suspect if you log out and log back in, you'll be DrewKime.

Let me know when that happens and I'll delete the old account.

New How do you log out?
I didn't see a link for it. Maybe I should look harder. In any case, it's getting the right WikiName for me when I update pages. If you're saying there are two htpasswd entries for me, go ahead and nuke the drewk one. I'd rather my account match my WikiName. If I can't get in next time I go, I'll let you know.

New Exit the browser
It's just basic web authentication. I understand this only partially, but am given to think that it's a session-based authentication.

If you're using a "remember the userid/password" feature for your browser, you'll want to reset/delete this information as well.
