Welcome to IWETHEY!

New He's got a point.
But I wouldn't discount Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and all the rest of the social network sewers. I'd love to see an accurate figure concerning how much time Americans spend in those absolutely useless efforts. It has to be staggering. What a waste of life!
New You don't think they're mostly displacing other time wasters?

Drew
New This.
Except the mobility is taking up more time than would be spent watching television.

Most of these people wouldn't be reading books regardless.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.
New It's like the difference between the employment rate and the unemployment rate
Unemployment is how many people are looking and can't find work. Employment is how many people are working. The difference is people not looking. "Not unemployed" isn't the same as "employed".

Same with "time wasting" activities vs. productive time. Most of the time spent playing Candy Crush, if the game went away they wouldn't suddenly be curing cancer.

New Yep.
