New Jascha Heifetz.. 'God's Fiddler' on PBS
Here and (at least today.. here: n films related to Heifetz' virtuosity, bio, his many concerts during Ww-II for U.S.O. and troops: (his best performance--he said--was for a lone G.I. who showed up for one impromptu concert.)

Fascinating overall, I think, whether or not you appreciate what he could do on the instrument: always to 100.0 % of his unique abilities. (He liked the mexican tune, Estrellita as did Rafael Mendez, on the trumpet.) Also wrote some pop music under a pseudonym.

New PS: Here's your 1917 First American Rock Concert
(on the near-eve of the Tsarecides and all) with young Heifetz as The Beatles, while calm as a cucumber.

"It's hot in here, isn't it?", asks Mischa Elman
No, Mischa ..not for pianists.
New Incredible for a 16 y/o!

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

-- Isaac Asimov

Ships were made for sinking, whiskey made for drinking. If we were made of cellophane we'd all get stinking drunk quite faster! Ah, ha, ha!
